There is a magical place here in Cheyenne, called the Children's Village. It has a rainbow arch over it's entrance and walking into it is like entering the land of Oz (w/o flying monkeys. Witches...well. I have heard of a few run-ins with witches from friends ;o). I have heard many great and wonderful things about this magical place for months, but I hadn't ever gone... Til today. My sister and I ventured over and boy was I in for a shock. Babbling brook, ponds, plants and heavy vegetation. Honestly, I knew of "a wading pool" but this, THIS was no wading pool. It's like the mother of water-activity tables (you know, the giant square bucket on legs filled with water and plastic toys?) There is a pull raft and water wheels. Faucets and fountain. Streams and musical pipes, sand and flowers. It's just great. Only one problem, kids WANDER. I know, this magical land is a "safe" place for kids and their curiosity is encouraged. But my babies are little, and can't swim and there is A LOT of water in this place. For me, it was a place I had little control of my munchkins. But they had SO MUCH fun. And got completely soaking wet. Next time they go, it'll be in swim clothes and a swim diaper for the girl. My pictures aren't the greatest but maybe when I am not so worried about drowning children I will take more next time. I do however, encourage you to check it out sometime. It's fantastic.

Glad you finally made it over there. It is a pretty awesome place to go and we are certainly blessed to have such a great facility for the kids in our community. Just a head's up on the 'wading pool': There is a point where it drops off. My best friend's 4.5 year old daughter found it two months back and went under completely. It's not very far out so I just warn everyone about it just to be on the safe side. The facilities official stance is that no one should 'wade' in water above their mid-shin. Looks like your kids were just fine, of course. :)
