So I weighed Amiah last week while at my parents house...yeah, 12 pounds!!! She is only 9 weeks old and this weekend I went ahead and put away all the newborn size cloths :o( and most of her 0-3! Yup, the girl is mostly in 3-6 sizes now. I can't believe how quickly she is growing. Needless to say, we have quite the little BUTTERBALL! So, for Thanksgiving, I made her a shirt to officially give her the label:

Seriously, she has to be the most beautiful butterball you ever did see!!

The holiday was very peaceful and relaxing. Low stress, low key and lots of good food. Just how we like it :o). I am so grateful to have such an amazing husband and beautiful kids. I truly am so blessed. I can't imagine life without them. I have so much I am grateful for that I could blog it all day. But I'll save you the boredom :o). Happy Thanksgiving! I'm savoring November for the next 48 hours because my busiest month of the year starts Monday. Not only do we have Christmas and New Years but both mine and PJ's birthdays, my mom's and sister-in-law, Alisa's, my grandmas (she'll be 80 this year!) and my two nephew's, Brandon and Ellis. Talk about busy!! I love it! Get ready for lots of pictures this month!

Seriously, she has to be the most beautiful butterball you ever did see!!
My brother's daughter is also very fitting of the title as well, so I went ahead and made her a t-shirt too. This is Addy, Ben's daughter. She is 7 months old and SO very chubby and adorable. She came out with those cheeks, I'm afraid she'll probably have them for life! Regardless, she is so much fun. While we were taking pictures of the girls Addy kept touching Amiah and trying to touch her eyes. It was so funny. It's a little blurry, sorry, it's a cell phone picture so not the best quality.

And then of course, the biggest Turkey of them all is PJ! He absolutely loves babies. He gets very stressed out when he hears babies cry and is always trying to help and make them feel better. He was so excited to see Addy in person on Thursday because we had just seen the most adorable video of her on Facebook blowing raspberries. PJ asked to watch it over and over again so when he saw her in person he just couldn't seem to get enough of her. With his two favorite girls together (wearing his favorite coat that he refused to remove) he was the happest big brother/cousin on the block!

Happy Thanksgiving--Amiah sure is a cutie, and I love the shirt. I made your sweet potato caserole and loved it. Our Thanksgiving was anything but peaceful, but fun.
ReplyDeleteThose are the cutest shirts! You should market those...! Happy Thanksgiving!
ReplyDeleteSo I'm an idiot. I was reading your blog and got to the part about you having two nephews who have birthdays this month, and I was like, "You know someone else named Ellis?!!" About three seconds later, it dawned on me that the one you are referring to belongs to me. Yup . . . I'm an idiot. :)
