Early to Rise and Halloween

So Miah woke up at about 4 am on Halloween morning to eat. This is her usual time. Only instead of being half awake just wanting to eat and go back to sleep she was very happy and talkative. I got a few shots of our "conversation:"

The sad part was that at the same time I was playing with Amiah and feeding her PJ woke up very upset and Mickey was wrestling him in the other room. He didn't go back to sleep until 630. Needless to say we all went back to bed then and didn't get up until Mickey's parents came over at 9. Oops.

PJ went to bed in his Batman Jammies (saved Superman for Trick or Treating) and woke up (at 9am) very excited for his grandparents, uncle and CANDY! We dressed Amiah in her outfit early because it was so cute we didn't want to wait for night time. She was so adorable all day, very chatty and smiley. We got some great pictures. The weather was beautiful here all day (that's a first for me in Cheyenne! Normally it's snowing or just flat freezing on Halloween!) so they didn't require much bundling up for the festivities. First we went to my sister's ward's trunk-or-treat (ours didn't have one and we really like those...) with her and then we went to my mom's to show off the kids and hit up her neighborhood. After that I took the kids to Alisa's Halloween party and chatted. We came home pooped and sugared out. It was very fun though. I'm so excited for next year though because PJ will finally "get" what we are talking about and will have even more fun!!

As I was going through the pictures of her at 4 am I realized that I had some very similar of PJ when he was little so I decided to pull them up and compare. PJ was 8 weeks old, Amiah is 6 weeks in this shot. You can certainly tell they are related but they look more different than I had thought:

Tomorrow is another big event for us as we will be blessing Amiah. We are expected a bunch of family in town and are very excited to see everyone and share this special time with them. I will post pictures again tomorrow night or Monday sometime! Yay!

  1. I agree. When I was there for Halloween it TOTALLY snowed! The kids are so cute; I can't believe how big they both are!
