Landed....

Okay, sorry I haven't updated on the weeks events. I really was trying to wait until I could post the pictures I've been taking but that's not going to happen right now SO I'll update on the weeks events:
Tuesday was the longest day I have had in a very long time. I must tell you, I don't mind the airplanes or flying. I HATE crazy airports though and JFK was the worst I have ever experienced. A whole lot of people and not a whole lot of space. The terminal was not air conditioned and there were very few seats provided let alone enough for all the people that were there. Talk about a stressful 3 hour lay over!!
However, I must say that I will ALWAYS fly Jet Blue. I had never flown with them before and I am so very impressed!! Their seats weren't quite as small as Frontier or Continentals. Each seat had it's own little TV to watch on the backs of the seats in front of them. They boarded, took off and landed exactly when they said they would. The staff was SO NICE and had a great sense of humor. There were a lot of kids on both flights and the stuards (there were men and women and I don't know what else to call them or how to spell it sorry) were fantastic with all of them.
PJ woke up at 4am when we put him in the car to head to Charlotte and only slept for an hour TOTAL the entire leg of the trip until we got to my sisters at 10 that night (which was midnight our time). By about half way through the flight from JFK to Denver he was completely exhausted and full of energy. Did NOT want to sit still in a sit (poor lady next to us...and guys behind us...). We went to the bathroom about a hundred times and he finally would just get up and run to the back of the plane (screaming the whole time) and then harass the stuards. But they were so good with him. Played and talked with him and gave him extra snacks. I couldn't be more impressed.
Being back in Cheyenne has been interesting. Doesn't have that "homey" feel I had expected but I think that is probably that I am still living out of suitcases in my sisters house until next week so we don't exactly feel like we have a home at this point. They have been so great to put up with me and PJ though which has been very nice.
Pretty sure we have an apartment lined up to move into next week when Mickey gets here as long as all the references and background checks etc come back alright. It's smaller than our place in Shelby and a touch more expensive but it's still a three bedroom two bath. Should hold us over for the next year until we get our feet better grounded and can get something bigger.
So that's how we are doing. I will post all the pictures I have been taking when I figure out where my camera cord is. Talk to you soon!

  1. I'm glad things are coming together. Hopefully the during the next few weeks you can feel more settled. I have some of your baby things to get back to you--and a few movies--so let me know your address as soon as you have one. Or call me when you have a minute!

  2. Welcome back to the west. Too bad you waited until August, as I recall at this point in Cheyenne fall is setting in and you won't see the sun again until next July. Good luck surviving the wind and cold, come to SLC for a visit when you're tired of it all!
