Finally! January 1st! The craziest month of year is FINALLY OVER!! Sorry it's taken me 3 weeks to update our blog. Our internet has had some serious issues lately. For some reason our wiresless router stopped working and after lots of frustration and calls to Linkseys (in India...) I finally pushed our big wooden desk with the desktop on it into our already crowded living room and hooked it up to the cable internet. YAY! We finally have a signal again. So here is a not so detailed account of the last 3 weeks.Christmas was a blur. Mickey worked right up until Christmas day and then was on-call Christmas day, and then had to return on the 26th so we didn't get much of a "Holiday Break" but that's alright! Christmas was exactly what we hoped for: laid back, small, ours. We woke up at 630 and I had to convince Mr. Scrooge to get out of bed and open presents!! (I woke up every hour after 1 waiting with anticipation for PJ to wake up and see his gifts. When he woke up, he didn't even notice his little display. Oh well).
PJ had a blast opening his gifts and playing with them. His favorite are his little "WonderPet" figures by far. Amiah didn't notice much of a difference but had fun watching the action from her bumbo chair. And I had fun with all her new hair bows!

After a lazy morning and afternoon we proceeded to my parents house for more gifts and Christmas dinner. It was a lot of fun. Absolute caos, but so much fun to be close to home and spend this time with our family. The 29th was PJ's 3rd birthday! I can't believe my baby is already 3!!! We celebrated with a Superman cake of course:

The 30th was my birthday. Farely uneventful really but it was nice none-the-less. Mickey got my brother Zach to watch the kids for an hour and took me to lunch which was so fun and nice to have that alone time together.
Last night was New Year's (duh) and we spent the evening with my sister and her family. I'll post more later when I get the pictures back but we had a really good time. Phew.
So now that it's the first day of 2009 it's time for new goals, and a new beginning. I can't tell you how glad I am that 2008 is over. What a long year that was. Time to shine in 2009!!!
Sounds like a great Christmas!! I love the superman cake! Did you make that or was it an order? I'm not very talented in the cooking department!
ReplyDeleteThanks for posting! I wondered what had happened to you guys....
ReplyDeleteChristian went back to Shelby two weeks ago and saw the Matheys, Mulls, and Porters.
