1- Where were you when you first found out you were pregnant? At our apartment in Shelby, North Carolina
2- Who was with you? I took the test alone and then went downstairs and told Mickey and PJ
3- How did you find out that you were pregnant? Was late and in denial. Finally broke down and took the home test
4- What was your first reaction to finding out you were pregnant? Oh crap I'm really pregnant aren't I???
5- Your Husbands reaction? Smiled and said "Serious?"
6- Who was the first person you told? Oh gosh...um I think the first person that knew besides us was Mickey's boss because he wanted time off to come to the first Dr appointment with me. But the first important person: my aunt Lynnda
7-Did you plan to get pregnant? Yes...but no....we knew it was time to have another one but I was secretly hoping to lose some weight before it happened
8-Was everybody happy for you? Yes and no, but we didn't care.
9- Did you go out and celebrate? Not really. We may have used it as an excuse to go out to eat...
10- Did you want to find out the sex? Yes but I knew as soon as I read the home test that she was going to be a girl
11- What was the sex? A girl!
12-Did anyone throw you a baby shower? Sort of...we had just moved and I only had a few close friends and family close by. My sister and I put together a girls night out and when I showed up for ice cream and movies my sisters, mom, and sisters in law were all there with gifts. Unfortunately I was having major contractions (false labor unfortunately) so I didn't get to enjoy it very much.
13- If yes, who? Pretty much all my sisters, mom and sisters in law put it together
14- Did you get any outfits at the baby shower that you just knew you weren't going to put on your baby? Yes but only because I had just recieved the same outfit earlier that day from someone else and had already taken the tags off.
15- How much weight did you gain? 16 pounds but the last 5 was water gained the week before I delivered so I like to pretend it was only 11
16- Did you loose all of the weight that you gained? Yup. It was pretty much baby, water and blood.
17- Did you get a lot of stretch marks? Yes but only because she would push her little butt out so hard I could literally watch my skin stretch around her tush!
18- What did you crave the most? It varied but probably Rootbeer floats the most. (even ditched church to go get them at an A&W 15 miles away because I wanted them so bad!)
19- Did you crave anything crazy? Sure did. The first trimester it was shrimp and cocktail sauce, the second trimester it was dill pickles and fudgecicles- yes at the same time!
20- Who or what got on your nerves the most? You name it. But it was probably Mickey's crappy bosses that bugged me the most.
21- Were you married at the time? Sure was! (thank goodness too!)
22- Did you have any complications during your pregnancy? Not really. I was considered "high risk" because of complications in my first preganancy and my weight.
23- Where were you when you went into labor? Which time??? I was in "false labor" for two weeks straight! I don't dilate on my own very well....
24- Did your water break? The doctor broke it.
26- Did you go early or late? On time, I was at 38 1/2 weeks... finally convinced the Dr enough was enough so they helped me dilate to hurry things along a bit (but only 2 weeks AFTER the false labor started)
27- Who was in the room with you when you gave birth? Mickey, Dr. Anderson, a resident Dr and a couple of nurses
28- Was it video taped? The birth wasn't but Mickey got some video of them cleaning her off right after
29- Did you have any drugs for the pain? Heck yes!
30-Did you go Natural or have a c-section? Vaginal (yes I said vaginal!) although there was a scare during labor where we almost had an emergency C-section
31- What was your first reaction after giving birth? She was so beautiful and I couldn't stop smiling and laughing! She just SCREAMED, no crying just screaming the highest pitch at the top of her little lungs!
32- How big was the baby(s)? She was 6lb 8oz
33- Did your Husband cry? Little bit
34- What did you name the baby(s)? Amiah (Uh-my-ya) Rae
35-Did the name have any significance to you? Amiah is a name we found the first day we were in NC on a political sign that we just fell in love with (only it was spelled Amaya) and Rae is Mickey's sister, Becky's, middle name (she passed away a year and 5 days before Amiah was born and we felt a very strong bond between them)
36-Does the baby's name fit? Absolutely. I can't see her with any other name
37- Did the baby(s) have any complications? Nope
38- How old is your baby today? 4 months 2 days
39- When is the next one(s) coming? If/When Heavenly Father tells us it's time....
40- If you could would you do it all over again? Absolutely!
