It is H-O-T HOT!

Phew! It is so hot right now, my motivation to do ANYTHING is non existant. Just going outside breaks me into an insane sweat! I'm really needing to make some bread but well....it's too warm to turn the oven on. So instead, I'll blog...
It's been a busy week. PJ's last day of preschool in Gastonia was this week. It was sad for me to see him leave knowing we probably won't be back anytime soon. It was getting pretty pricey to drive 30 miles to preschool (even though it was an amazing preschool that really helped with his therapies etc). But we discovered a really great preschool here a mile from our house actually! He starts his summer term on the 23rd and he'll go 2-3 days a week for the next 6 weeks and then start again in September. Plus, we can walk to school everyday (well, I'll walk, he'll probably walk some and ride in the stroller some). Discovered that even though we didn't have to pay the tuition at the school in Gastonia the gas to go 2-3 times a week was costing us as much as it would to enroll him 3-4 days a week here a mile from home. Saves travel time, bored time...etc.
Saw the Dr. on Thursday. Baby is measuring well and her heart sounds great. I get tested for Gestational Diabetes 4 weeks from now but I've been monitoring my blood sugar off and on the whole pregancy. Especially the last few weeks I've noticed my blood sugar creeping up and am nervous I have GD. Guess we'll see soon enough huh?
Mickey is a new house supervisor for his job at a group home in Cherryville. Finally, some management experience. A step in the right direction! He has taken to this new role really well. It suits him I think. Being in charge of people caring for people really is his thing. Once he is fully staffed and the clients adjust the changes, it's only going to get better. Hopefully we'll move up into another position by January (that would give him a solid 6mo experience) or at least we can start widening our option range.
So PJ crashed after we went swimming last night at 8 pm (normal or even late for most of you with kids. PJ can never fall asleep that early because...) he was up at 130am. Wide eyed and bushy tailed. Got him to snuggle and drink some milk while I dozed for a few hours. I think he may have gone back to sleep but by 4 he was wide awake and running around harrassing the dog. Come 530, it was Mickey's turn. The kid JUST fell asleep again an hour ago. He's nuts. I really hope he gets more solid sleeping through the night before the baby comes. This is going to get REALLY interesting.
