You know those mornings when you wake up and you and just READY for the day? Where you pop out of bed and it's like, "okay, I'm up! I'm ready to go!"....those are few and far between for parents I think. But kids are usually that way when they get up. PJ for example, will get up and start jumping on his bed, talking to his toy dogs or just come right in and find us. But then there are these kinds of mornings. Where he wakes up humming and talking to himself but isn't quite sure if he's ready to get out of bed. On these days, he'll lay there til he knows we're up and at em' and then he wants to come downstairs with us and enjoy his morning cup of chocolate milk. But he insists on taking practically his entire bed WITH HIM to do it. Then he'll curl up in the chair with his favorite blanky, pillow and doggy's and just chill til we make him get up and get dressed. I love these mornings. Because they mean I get to be lazy a little too and enjoy my own breakfast without something flinging or him fighting me while I eat. Maddi (the dog) will just stare in envy at him in "her chair" (I'm the ONLY one in the house that doesn't think that the recliner belongs solely to me) with all his comfy stuff. She waits for the second he decides to get out for ANY REASON and then quickly settles in under his blanky and takes his spot. It's so funny. I kicked her off before I thought to take a picture of her. But I did manage to get some of PJ. He is so cute!

However...having a lazy morning on a Sunday meant being late for church. And as soon as we got there (in the middle of the sacrament) my cold kicked itself up a notch and proceeded to make me cough and sweat through sacrament meeting. The lady in front of me kept turning around asking if I was crying. So...we went home and got back in our jammies and kept being lazy. Poor Mickey is working today, so he doesn't get to enjoy this true slackers Sunday. That's okay...laying around with a sniffling-coughing-sneezing-sweating prego wife isn't much fun anyway. Here's to lazy mornings and slacker Sundays!!!!
Wouldn't it be fun if he and Nathan had a pajama party together... and we got to take a nap!
