Progress, finally

So after many hours of cussing Blogger and redoing things, I think my blog is finally getting back together. Yay! I love that scrap-e-blogs changes the way to add backgrounds so that made it alot easier. Plus, I found a really fun music player that is cuter, creative, and has better song options that the playlist I had been using. There are a few songs on there by Johanna Stahley that I haven't been able to find anywhere except through this player. Her songs are so positive and hopeful that I really wanted to add them. One of my personal goals is to change negative thoughts to positive and one way I'm doing that is by listening to positive up beat music. Her songs totally make be feel great! She wrote the theme song for "Ruby" on the Style Network. I love the lyrics:
I see everything happening
Feeling changes coming on
I gotta let go of what I know
Where I’ve been coming from
Pre-chorus:
I picture overcoming obstacles
See me beat the odds
Down stream of my dream
My own big O-cean
Chorus:
I can if I think I can
Turn my doubts into sand
I can if I think I can I made a plan,
I’ll take a stand
I’ll be my own biggest fan
I can if I think I can
If I think I can
I see the strangest things happening
Rainbows at dawn
Thoughts like melodies stay with me
Lead me down this road I’m on
Can, can, can, can c-c-can
Fantasies are easy, and
What’s worth having that isn’t hard?
I can be whatever I’m gonna be
Yes I’m following my heart
Can, can, c-c-can
I can if I think I can
Turn my doubts into sand
I can if I think I can
Take a stand, make demands
Gonna have about a million fans
I can if I think I can
If I think I can

A few weeks ago I held a Pampered Chef party and used some of my hostess credit on these amazing glass bottom springform pans. Well, I couldn't help myself and decided to make some cheesecakes last weekend. I got two pans, so I had to make two cakes :o) PJ helped me out (we used the PC Food chopper for the crust and I used the stainless steel mixing bowls to prepare everything). As you can see we had lots of fun together AND I would venture to say on behalf of everyone that partook of these cheesecakes, they turned out perfect. Thanks Sarah for introducing me to your products!

The one on the left is my signature Turtle Cheesecake: a plain cheese cake with a chocolate cookie crust smothered in pecan chips, caramel and chocolate pieces. The one on the right is a Choclate Strawberry one: a dark chocolate cheesecake with a chocolate cookie crust and fresh strawberries and whipped cream on top.
