"Squirrel!", Strawberry bliss, and Crazy Do's (& mommy's "please Don't"s!)

There is a dog on the Disney movie, "Up!" named, "Doug." Cute, funny, lovable. And yet that dog gets so distracted SO EASILY! The smallest smell or noise and suddenly it's, "SQUIRREL!" and then he must get off the non-existent squirrel track and back to what he was initially attempting to do or say before he is interrupted but yet another exciting "squirrel!" Well, we have started calling PJ, "Squirrel!" ("Doug" would probably be a more appropriate nickname but not as cute). He seriously is distracted by the slightest things. It usually just makes me crazy because it takes about 100x's longer to complete a task than it should be. Like an hour and a half to get pants on because the interesting things (such as Amiah walking past his room) that distract him. But it is fun to see just how fascinated he is with the world around him and those things that make him excited. He absolutely loves being outside (I may have mentioned this a million times or two by now) and has found a new love of blowing into the cold air and seeing his breath. While this makes it difficult to get him down the stairs and into the car, it is fun to see how excited he get's when he "blows!" and can see it. He absolutely loves his sister but like most kids, hates that she could possibly be getting something he isn't or has something he wants. The second he is up from bed or a nap he is asking for her, but then as soon as he sees her he hits her, pushes her, or steals whatever she has. And the ironic thing, she always goes back for more! Oh the bizarre relationships we form with our siblings!
THIS:
glorious picture is a peek at my newest craving. Now I must admit, I have always had a special place for this classic strawberry "bon bon" candy with it's ooey-gooey center. BUT never to the obscene obsession I have for it at the moment. Thank heaven's the dollar store sells them only a $1 for a pound, and they are nearly impossible to find anywhere else. But I cannot seem to keep my mind (or mouth) far from them. Now, I sound like I am eating a pound a day, which if I could, I probably would. But have only gone thru one bag in two weeks (headed for bag #2 today tho). The bitter sweet things about such candies are, well, they are a hard candy. And when one eats too many of them consecutively one after another, one tends to develop a little sore on ones tongue. Thus, consumption control. Needless to say, I still love them. My little Baby O is going to come out pink as a strawberry candy and hopefully just as sweet smelling!
Now on to the goofy girl of the day....Amiah (shocker, right?) She has always had a funny bit of hair but it has become increasingly more hilarious as it has gotten longer. It is many different lengths due to what hung out or was lost after she was born. It's got curl in most of it, but like her deal old mother, has sections of random perfect straightness (poor kid). It's always curliest after a nap because she sweats so dang bad in her sleep but she always manages to come up with the funnest looks.

She has also realized she has this mop of hair on her head and at every meal proceeds to RUB her food in it. Whether it be oatmeal, bananas or spaghetti sauce, she seems to think all are "pretty!" when encrusted in her blonde locks. (These would be the mommy's-please-Don'ts) Lately, she needs a bath after each meal! But it does allow for some amazingly hilarious photo opts.
