Well, once again, it's been for-freaking-ever since I've updated. And unfortunately, there really isn't much to post on at this point. We have been sick off and on, have spent way more time in hospital waiting rooms this last month than I care to ever in a lifetime, and have been working more than I am used to. Kids are doing well. Amiah is still taking her sweet time walking but continues to improve on her vocabulary (she now says: booby, hot, Barbara, and Bethie). She broke the 4 (yes all 4) eyeteeth this week also so she hasn't been near as happy as usual but still fun. I recently discovered also (thanks to 10 inches of snow) that I didn't do a very good job of stalking up on warm cloths for our little girl, so it's time to start shopping (ah shucks...) again.
PJ is doing great. We started potty training a little over a week ago and he has done surprisingly well. Still has accidents, we still have to remind him to go every hour or two but over all, I say this is progress! We aren't stressing too much over it. PJ is the type of kid that takes some coxing and lots of effort to learn something, but then, one day, it will just click never to be forgotten. So one of these days the light will go on for him and the pull-ups and thick potty pants will be history. His biggest excitement (on potty training anyway) was when he peed on a fly that had landed in the toilet. Man he was so proud of himself. It was hilarious!
Mickey and I are certainly trying hard to keep our heads above water still and not stress too much about illnesses, weather, test results etc. (the usual parental worries this time of year for us anyway). We are getting used to the idea of our newest addition to arrive in May and I am hoping the nausea and exhaustion will start subsiding soon (still not nearly as sick as most women get). I've been lucky to get some girl time in which has been really nice. I can officially say my favorite restaraunt is the Melting Pot. I swear I could never get sick of such amazing foods. YUM-O (as my sister-in-law says). It's fabulous!!!
So yeah...pretty dang boring. So boring in fact, I don't even have any cool pictures to contribute at this point. I was asked by the RS in our ward to start a recipe exchange group and I am getting really excited about it. I absolutely love trying new things and sharing cooking ideas and it's pretty much a good excuse for us women to get together, eat and gab without kids and men around. I will probably start a food blog soon to post my latest and greatest recipes so watch for that. I get a lot of requests for my recipes and I have also been really wanting to start compiling our family favorites into a book for each of my family members so I figure this will be a good way to start.
Hope all is well wherever you all are! TTFN!!
