The weekend started out pretty productive. We spent Saturday and Sunday cleaning out our storage closet and going thru and storing all the kids clothes. The intention was to get all the NB-3mo boy clothes etc out. But in order to do this we had to get through ALL the clothes we have stored since PJ came along. Took forever and was a bigger and more time consuming project than I had anticipated. However, it allowed us to get rid of a bunch of things and actually FIND some closet and storage space. The down side to mom & dad being engaged to such a hefty project, is the kids get to run amok in the rest of our living space. The storage areas got clean, the bedrooms got DESTROYED.
Sunday after a little while the kids got really whiny and needy. We passed it off as just wanting us to pay more attention to them but at 2am...we discovered it was them not feeling well. And so, the puke fest began.
Both kids barfed for over 24 hours. Mickey caught it halfway thru. Thank heavens the virus missed me. I swear we did a minimum of 8 loads of wash, Miah's beloved blankey being in at least 6 of those loads. The kids lived on the couch with cartoons and drifted in and out of sleep between barfing episodes. While our bedding was in the wash Mickey went to put clothes away in PJ's room and about ten minutes later I found him sacked out on PJ's "Buzz-Like-Year" bed. I felt terrible for all of them.
The puking eased up finally at 4 this morning. They are all still pretty weak and low-energy today tho. I have to admit, I am so tired. All I wanna do is be lazy with them. So... I am. Won't be too much longer and moments of laziness will yet again be a thing of the past.
